Open Apple > System Preferences

Click "Network"

Choose Show: "Internal Modem" and make sure in the "TCP/IP" tab that Configure is set to "Using PPP"

Choose the PPP tab and fill in the Telephone Number , Account Name, and Password.

Nothing should typically be checked in the "Proxies" tab.

The default options should be fine in most cases and should not be changed.  Click "Apply Now" when you are finished.

Choose the phone icon and "Connect" to dial
